Who runs JobSlop
JobSlop is a free, independent job-listing research service at https://jobslop.io. It is run personally by its individual developer, not by a company. Contact: hello@jobslop.com. By using JobSlop you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
What JobSlop is
JobSlop collects job listings from external sources and records how they appear over time. It shows that history, automated signals and links to the original listings. It is not a recruiter, an employer, a placement agency or part of any hiring decision.
A flag is not a finding of wrongdoing
"Ghost job", a signal score, a long-open listing and a repost count are automated indicators based on what JobSlop observed. None of them proves a job is fake, does not exist or was posted in bad faith. Results can be incomplete, late or wrong. Check for yourself before acting on them.
No guarantees
Listings, dates, flags, scores and links can change or be wrong. JobSlop does not promise a job, an interview, a reply from an employer, or a complete dataset.
Using the site and its data
You may browse JobSlop and share links to it for lawful personal, journalistic or research purposes. You may read the public index files (data.json, agent.json) at a reasonable rate. When you publish findings based on them, credit JobSlop and the date the data was checked. Do not:
- attack the service or get around its security or rate limits;
- submit malicious URLs;
- crawl in a way that slows the service down;
- pretend to be someone else;
- use JobSlop's findings to harass or defame anyone.
Listing text belongs to the employers and job boards that published it.
Third-party content
Employers and job boards control their listings and websites. Showing a listing is not an endorsement of, or affiliation with, its employer, and trademarks belong to their owners. If you think listing information infringes your rights or is materially wrong, email hello@jobslop.com with the URL and an explanation.
Browser extension
If you are given extension access, keep your token private and stay within your weekly scan credits. The operator can revoke a token that is misused. The extension privacy policy describes what the extension handles.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or end features, correct mistakes, block abusive access, or change these terms. JobSlop is free today. If that ever changes, you will be told clearly before you are asked to pay.
Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, JobSlop is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties.
