The JobSlop extension helps you review ghost-job warning signs on a listing you choose.
Opening the popup reads the active page’s job title, employer, location, URL, posting date and description into the popup. Choosing Scan this job sends those fields to your configured JobSlop API (https://jobslop.io by default). It sends your extension token to authenticate scans and credit checks. The API stores scan inputs, results, timestamps and credit usage with your extension account. The operator also holds the account details used to issue your token.
Chromium and Safari scans include the browser label and extension version. Firefox sends these optional technical details only when you grant its technical-data permission. It does not send your browsing history, cookies, passwords entered on pages, private messages or activity on other tabs.
The activeTab and scripting permissions read the page when you open the popup. Storage keeps your API URL and token in the browser’s local extension storage. Network access is granted to jobslop.io by default. Saving another API URL requests access to that specific API origin.
Listing data is used to produce scan results, compare listings with observed job history, cache recent results and enforce credit limits. The extension has no advertising or third-party analytics. Scan history remains on the configured API until its operator removes it; there is no automatic expiration of account scan history. Contact the administrator who issued your extension token to request deletion of your account or scan history. You can clear local settings by removing the extension, and the administrator can revoke your token.
A custom API is operated by whoever controls that address. Review that operator’s privacy practices before sending listing data.
